Here's where we can discuss what the best name and logo will be for the new club.

Yeah, I like it too -- but if there's one thing I don't like -- it's a small bunch of people telling others what they should do -- so we'll put it to the vote when we have a few more members on board.

If this club is going to stay "fun" and enjoyable, we have to make sure that we're all equal and we all have an equal say.

We've already seen what can go wrong when you gift power to a small group :-)

Er, concensus politics and committees are OK in theory but to get things moving it is far from the best way. Having said that it is appropriate to gain the majority vote at times on things such as name suggestions. But then who decides which ones go on the poll?????????

Really looking forward to this "club". Bruce, after all you have put up with my congratulations go to you and your tenacity. And yes, I will be donating through RCModelReviews (finally :D )

If this club is going to do any lobbying with various governing bodies, I believe it should have a more formidable name.

How about something like IAMAE (International Association of Model Aeronautics Enthusiasts)?

What's the point of being the largest RC club on the planet if we can't use it to protect/promote the hobby?

We could negotiate with flight authorities and get our own WINGS certificates in various countries (New Zealand to start?).

Just some food for thought.

Cheers!
